The mitt is made of soft, highly absorbent non-woven fabric with strong welds. It is presoaped on one side with a sufficient amount of gentle liquid cleanser for washing an adult person. The gentle and moisturizing cleanser contains emollient and hydrating substances that respect the skin’s physiological pH. The product does not require rinsing. The mitt is anatomically shaped, one-size-fits-all, and internally waterproof, ensuring good fit and adherence to the user’s hand. It is single-use and for one patient only. Dermatologically tested and formulated to be hypoallergenic. Latexfree.
In every hospital department, in particular Reanimation, Geriatric Medicine, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Neonatology, Paediatrics, Cardiology, Intensive Care and Surgery.
Before wearing the mitt, make sure pre-soaped part covers the palm of your hand. Use a syringe or similar disposable device to suck up sterile water or saline solution (to avoid as much as possible any possible external contamination) and moisten the mitt’s pre-soaped sponge. Gently massage the part to be treated and create a large amount of lather. The amount of lather depends on the amount of liquid added. When done, remove the mitt with your fingertips. With the other hand, grab the mitt’s lower end and turn the mitt inside out so that the soiled part remains inside. This will prevent the risk of cross-contamination. No rinsing needed.
- Single-use, the mitt is made from laminated non-woven fabric, pre-soaped on one side.
- The soap is gentle, with physiological pH, blue in color, and 60% biodegradable.
- It adds moisture and is ideal for delicate skins and babies in particular.
- Soft, absorbent and gentle on the skin, it helps to prevent incontinencerelated irritations and dermatitis, ensuring patient comfort.
- The mitt’s mold helps it stay on the caregiver’s hand.
- Reduces operating costs because, compared to traditional washing solutions, it saves time and fewer products are required.
- Because it is single-use, there is no risk of cross-contamination In fact, it avoids the use of multiple-use towels and/or sponges, which must be washed and sanitized after each use and are a potential source of microbiological contamination.
- Ultrasound welded approx. 6–8 mm from the outer edge, forming a rounded shape to avoid trauma from edges.
- A narrowing before the wrist prevents the mitt from rotating and helps it adhere to the hand, avoiding slipping during use.
